NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a unique organisation that works to save and improve lives every day.

We are looking for Organisational Design & Development Lead who is passionate about data to join the NHSBT Data Intelligence Programme. This sits at the heart of NHSBT’s modernisation and transformation agenda, as meaningful data and analysis are key to unlocking insights to drive improvements in donor and patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality services. The programme is a central enabler of the organisation’s ambitions to ensure blood stock resilience, improve clinical quality, and deliver more efficient, safe, inclusive, and resilient operations — while providing a faster, timelier, and reliable source of intelligence for our managers.

Everything we do is ultimately about improving care and outcomes for donors and patients and we are bringing together professionals with the vision, influence, and expertise to unlock the full potential of data in NHSBT. So, if you share our passion and want your work to make a meaningful, measurable impact on healthcare across the UK, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Engaging with stakeholders and clients at all levels within the organisation to build effective high-challenge, high-support working relationships to enable the delivery of the organisation’s strategy and a high performing and inclusive organisation
  • Carrying out highly complex ODD interventions, in conjunction with the client, using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods to drive insight into the effectiveness and impact of the intervention against agreed outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership team, taking the lead on the organisational analysis of the strategy and development and implementation of interventions which deliver change and agreed service improvements
  • Developing ODD objectives and plans required to enable prioritisation of work and deliver planned change and avoid the destabilisation of BAU priorities/KPIs. This will include producing regular reports illustrating progress against objectives and next steps.
  • Championing ODD initiatives that support NHSBT strategic aims and objectives and act as a role model for NHSBT values and behaviours
