As a vital part of the NHS, our work is complex, far-reaching, and relies on the dedication of our people. Join NHS Blood and Transplant as our Internal Communications Channels Manager and play a central role in shaping how our people connect, communicate and stay informed—wherever they work across the organisation.

As our Internal Communications Channel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our colleagues receive clear, timely and engaging communications through the channels they rely on every day. A key part of this role is the ongoing management, optimisation and governance of our new intranet, ensuring it becomes the trusted home for news, resources and collaboration.

You’ll also oversee a suite of communication channels—from newsletters and email bulletins to digital screens and internal social platforms—making sure we reach all internal audiences in the ways that work best for them.

  • Oversee the internal communications channel mix, ensuring each channel is used effectively and consistently.
  • Use analytics to monitor channel performance and shape improvements.
  • Support the delivery of major campaigns, announcements and leadership communications.
  • Keep up with best practice and trends in internal communications channel management and development and applying these as appropriate.
