Job Summary

Are you looking for a new challenge to use your excellent administration skills, eye for detail and customer focussed approach? We have a unique secondment opportunity for you to join a small and enthusiastic specialist team, providing essential administrative support in a range of key areas including Pay Governance, Trade Union Activity and Organisational Change. This is a varied and growing role which will require you to be able to use your existing administration skills and attention to detail to support the team across these areas, becoming a specialist in the field and allowing you to be able to provide specialist knowledge and advice on these matters as well as being the key administrative support in this space.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be responsible for co-ordination and organisation of a range of meetings and associated papers, monitoring and progressing paperwork for organisational change, redeployment and redundancies and support with detailed monitoring and tracking systems for People pay issues to ensure compliance and audit readiness. You will be responsible for administration surrounding trade union activity, including partnership meetings, and will have the skills required to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with trade union colleagues. Alongside this you will also collate and refer Exit Questionnaire responses and data supporting the production of regular reporting for senior management.

About You

Experience and Knowledge –

  • Appreciation and a clear understanding of the need for confidentiality within the job role within GDPR legislation
  • Experience of dealing with demanding customers or colleagues.
  • Previous experience of working in a busy team

Experience of following and contributing to office procedures and practices.

Qualifications and Training –

  • NVQ level 3 in Customer Care or HR related or A Level or equivalent experience
  • Word-processing qualification or ability to type at advanced level
  • Experience of working in a fast pace and challenging office environment resolving problems and dealing with a range of routine and non-routine processes, procedures and activities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD)
